 Our book club is designed for young readers aged 12-18, offering an exciting selection of books that combine adventure, mystery, magic, and thought-provoking themes.

 September: "Dune" by Frank Herbert

  • Summary: Set in a distant future, "Dune" tells the story of Paul Atreides and his family as they take control of the desert planet Arrakis, the only source of the universe's most valuable substance, spice.
  • Discussion Topics: Environmentalism, power struggles, leadership, and destiny.

 October: "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" by Ransom Riggs

  • Summary: Jacob discovers a mysterious orphanage and learns about its peculiar children with unique abilities. He uncovers dark secrets and sets out to protect his newfound friends.

 November: "The Eye of the World" by Robert Jordan (The Wheel of Time series)

 What We Do:

  • Monthly Book Reading: Each month, we'll dive into a new book.
  • Weekly Discussions: Engage in lively virtual discussions every Monday and Friday at 4 PM EST via Zoom. Recordings will be posted to the portal.
  • Monthly Activities: Participate in fun, themed activities each month.
  • Language Arts Curriculum Integration: Optional quizzes and tests will be posted. Answer keys will be provided to parents upon request.
